"Red Hat Society" float in the Tuscaloosa Christmas Parade won 3rd place in the non-commercial division!!  The ladies worked so hard on it.

Sandra Henry Baker's idea of using the theme  "Hats Off to the USA"   was tremendous as the float theme. The parade theme was "A Patriotic Christmas."  The Red Hat entry was no. 152 of 244 entries!  The parade lasted almost 2 hours!  "It was such fun.  I waved so hard for so long that yesterday (Tues.) my arms were really sore.", said  Susan.

"Classmates who partook of the fun were Mary Hugh, Sandra Henry Baker, Paulette, Betty Meaney Rawlins & I along with a few younger and more older ones!!  We all had on our purple outfits of some sort and red hats, also of some sort!  We really got some smiles out of the crowd!!"

Some of the ladies will be meeting 2 chapters from Arizona, 1 from Los Angeles, 1 from Illinois, and 1 from California in Biloxi the second week of January at the Beau Rivage Resort!  That place won't be the same!!

Tuesday, December 18, 2001 the "girls" got together again at the University Club for a Christmas luncheon.

Their red hats, with lights and antlers brought the Christmas sprit to many local Tuscaloosa citizens again.

T. H. S. sprit is alive and well, especially whenever classmates gather.

Keep it up ladies!
