Backgammon

This game consisting of a battle between two players is one of the World's oldest games.  It has been around for thousands of years.  The oldest board ever discovered was found by Sir Leonard Woolley in the royal tombs at Ur in Iraq.  This game has had many different names such as: Nard, t'shu-p'u, sunoroko as well as the english version; tabula.  It is not only a game using strategic moves but it includes the luck of the dice, making the game both fun and exciting.  The game is quite simple to learn.  The directions for playing Backgammon are long and timely so I have added some backgammon links to our site for more information about the game.
