A New Moon Ritual

The altar should be provided with:

A gold and a silver candle (to represent the God and the Goddess)

Incense and Burner (Jasmine)

Elemental Weapons

Chalice filled with water

The Rite:

Consecrate a circle and call the quarters.

Hold your chalice up high to the sky and say:

Behold, it is the time of the Dark Mother

Behold the Face of the Goddess is black

Nepthys, Lady of Formlessness rules this night

She who brings the gift of endings to Her children

I know the mysteries of the Dark Moon

I know the shades of darkness

At the end of creation lies destruction

For the time of death is within the seed of new life

The Cycles of the Moon are death and birth

Lower the Chalice, and see the dark and the stars in your Chalice.

Nepthys, I have seen Your Darkness

Nepthys, I have seen the Light beyond Death

You are the Giver of Death

And the Guardian of Life

You are the Goddess of the Dark Moon

You are the Mystery of the Night

I delight in Your Power

See Power filling the Chalice.

I worship in body the things of the body

I worship in mind the things of the mind

I worship in spirit the things of the spirit

I behold the Darkness in the Cup

And it is the darkness of new beginnings

It is the promise of the Dark Goddess

May my cup now fill with Her Wisdom

May my soul now fill with Her Love

May I walk into Her Embrace unafraid

Drink the water.

The Power of Nepthys I have drawn into my body

The Power of Nepthys I have drawn into my mind

The Power of Nepthys I have drawn into my spirit

May I always be a fit receptacle

So mote it be
