Note: These meanings are a synthesis of personal experience and those drawn from Aleister Crowley's Book of Thoth. I use the Thoth deck almost exclusively and this deck does not use reversed meanings, rather the more negative meanings are implied when a card is surrounded by cards of opposing alignment. For instance disks are opposed by swords, and cups are opposed by wands. Cups with disks dignify each other, and so do swords with wands. Trumps may increase or decrease dignity according to the spread and a certain amount of intuition is necessary to determine the card's dignity.
