An Ostara Ritual

The Altar should be provided with:

a lighted yellow and green candle

some fresh flowers

a chalice filled with water

a plate of bread

Incense and burner (the incense should be sandalwood or jasmine)

Ritual Tools

An elaborately decorated egg

A pot or cauldron filled with soil

Some corn or wheat seeds (or other local crop)

Consecrate a circle and call the quarters.

Recite the following Prayer:

Isis, Nepthys, Hathor, Bast
Life reborn, Spring at last
Maiden Goddess, queen of dew
Leaf and root and bud renew
Take the egg and project into it all the new plans and projects you wish to grow and prosper over the summer.

Osiris, Horus, Anubis, Pan
Life reborn, Spring again
Youthful God, lord of green
Inbue Thy power to my seed

Take the seeds and bury them in your pot of earth. (These will be sympathetic magick for the crops. As your seeds grow and prosper so will those of the farmers near you. You will need to translplant them later unless your pot is very big.)

Meditate as long as you wish. Close the Circle and take the egg to any place you wish especially to grow and bloom (garden, forest area etc.) and bury it.
