I am writing in behalf of my sister, Andra Lee (Andi)Jones Morgan (Class of l957) and my brother-in-law, Bob Morgan (Class of l954). Andi has been diagnosed with cancer and the doctors have not given her a very good prognosis. She will be going to MD And rson in a few weeks for a second opinion, after she recovers from gallbladder surgery, which is where the cancer originated. I thought if their classmates would like to email them some words of encouragement, or even some funny memories from school days, it would help Andi & Bob. They do not have a computer, but if you send them to my address, I will print them out and take them to her. Andi is a very special person and we would appreciate your prayers for them as they face some difficult times ahead.

For those of you who may of had Mrs Mary Frances Freeman for English or journalism she died Monday at 77. She taught from 1949-1983. She graduated from South Park in 1939. Some of us are getting together this weekend (Feb. 7)to work on our fifth Class of '58 Newsletter "Nostalgia Express". We will have pictures from our 40th reunion last August and a special article and pictures by Dan Durrenberger about machine shop teach r Mr. Bill Faris and the miniature steam locomotive he built, with some help by dedicated students. The Greenie Bash April 3rd was well attended and it was a lot of fun. Ten of us had great food and fabulous fellowship at the Olive Garden near Fuqua. Attendees included James and Pat Lanier, Nancy Irle, Gretchen Wilson, Ron Coffman, Sandy and Bob Harvill , George Edwards, Bobby Foster and Fred Minor. We started around 11:15AM and the last of us left at nearly 2:00PM. Those who were not able to attend will have another opportunity after the July 4th Weekend at Jimmy G's on the North Belt. Let's set July 10th as a tentative date so we can all mark our calenders. Bobby Foster has suggested we have lunch and then adjourn to someones house and do some serious catching up the rest of the afternoon. Sounds good to me!--We missed those who couldn't attend. I have been trying to record this message for the longest. I have had some trouble with my server. David, this is fabulous. I think I enjoy it a little more, each time I "tune in". Just wanted to say "hi" to all those "old" classmates. I really missed not being at the past reunion, but in the future, all illnesses will be prescheduled so as not to co flict with "important events like reunions." I am looking forward to seeing everyone on th 3rd of April. Hope a good crowd shows. Don and I have been really enjoying our travels since retirement. We bought a new motorhome before going to Alaska last summer and broke both front windshields and vibrated both headlight loose. Had a great trip. Hi Greenie friends, have really enjoyed the web page, and many thanks to David for keeping it up. Hadn't looked in on it in quite some time, and am so impressed at all the art work, and music that's happened since I looked in. Hey all you Greenies out there!! Margie Odom (Willett)'s husband had the best idea yet!... He suggested that we all get together and buy our very own nursing home, so that we can spend our 'golden years' together!! Really appreciate the Greenie Web Page. The 40th class reunion was great and a very special occasion. Anyone who missed that event really missed an opportunity to see and be with some great folks who were a very important part of our "growing up" period Just can't help thinking how fortunate we were (and are) to have had the time, expreiences, guidance, friends and overall opportunities to grow up when we did.
