This picture was taken at Battery Park of Manhattan, New York City. In fact, it was just the first chapter of my pursuit of photography. Starting from then, my FM2 has become my significant other whenever I travel abroad.
This picture was taken from the Observation Deck of World Trade Center. The sun was sinking at the horizon of New Jersey. Though the photo was taken through a glass wall, it did not undermine the beauty of the view.
Actually, this is not a sunset photo. It was taken at ten o'clcok in the morning in Santa Barbara, California. I was heading to San Francisco with a few friends of my high school. Back then, we were all studying in colleges in U.S. or in Canada. In order to see more sights in the boring 8-hour drive, we decided to take a more zig-zagged, coastal freeway instead of a much wider interstate highway. This was just one of the stops with a beautiful outlook.
Who says life is boring? Haven't you thought of something enjoyable? Give yourself a break and have yourself embrace by the nature. Go to a resort with lots of palm trees and sunshine. Guam can be one of those choices.
Finally, we've got a picture of the sunset in Hong Kong. It was taken from the China Harbour City at Tsim Sha Tsui. The sun had not really lost its luster yet by the time I got there. It was just four o'clock in July. To make the picture look more like the sunset scenery, I used a half-color (brown) filter to make the sky more saturated with yellowish brown.
This picture was taken in San Diego.
This picture is my favorite. It was also taken from Battery Park in Manhattan. Just after I had pressed the shutter, I was sure it would be a magnificient one. The shadow of the branches and the progressive change of color from blue to orange at the back made it a very special sunset.
