That dawn will break....
Against all the odds,
Only....and only
When all the peoples of the world unite in
Striving for goodness,
Ridding selves of illusions, and ires,
And attaining universal unanimity
In distinguishing wrong from right.

The dawn choruses hail this holy day,
Bells chime, choirs chant, crickets chirp
In symphonic, euphonious unison,
Ecstatic rejoicings fill the air.
The sun unfolds his golden beams everywhere:
Dewdrops glisten in his glorious path,
Seas, lakes glitter at celestial touches,
And trees glow with divine inspiration.
May the harbinger of the new era
Shed illuminating light upon man!
May he radiate the spirit of hope,
And beacon mankind from the murky past!
Let gleams of love and righteousness prevail,
Let it dawn on each and every earthling--
The eternal verities never cease
To be vital to human existence.
Let virtue outshine and triumph over evil,
Let undue desires and longings be quenched,
Let violence, crime, fear, anxiety be quelled,
Let most mortal foes turn staunchest of friends.
Let us regard our neighbors as brethren,
Let us face all obstacles hand in hand,
Let us live in peaceful concord and trust,
Let us labor well for the weal of all.
Once such enlightened state is achieved,
There will be no need for mankind to waste
Centuries or millennia awaiting
The advent of the prophesied millennium.

Whether these dreams of mine will materialize
Only time may tell.
