How we met...
What do you usually do, when two beautiful big brown eyes are
looking you sadly and two small fury hands extend for a hug?
Well, I don't know about you, but personally, I can't resist to
take this sweet little thing in my arms!
Christmas of '97, I was in London for holidays. I'll never forget
the day I was leaving, while I was at the airport waiting for my
flight to be announced. I was looking around in the free-shops,
for some last minute shopping. Suddenly I had the feeling that
someone, something was watching me... funny! I turned my head
and I saw a pretty little bear looking at me with its big brown eyes
and it was like calling me to go closer, trying to tell me something...
Its eyes, its hands, the way it was sitting there, were showing that
this little thing was sad and lonely... I stepped into the shop and
took it in my arms. There was a label on it and I read :
" Hi, I'm Alfie. Please, take me home with you!"!?!
I'm sure that you already know how this story ends! From that day
Alfie and me, are together. Any of you that happened to travel that
time of the year and passed thru Heathrow free-shops, you may have
seen those "Alfie" bears and you know what I mean. It's so
sweet!
It makes me all the time wanting to hold it in my arms. Alfie is my
room mate and now has many friends around him, 'cause my room
is plenty of porcelain hand made dolls (I collect them) and other lil
fury animals. Alfie knows all my secrets and he's the one to whom
I'm speaking to, when I'm happy or sad. Maybe this sounds silly,
but it's amazing how a little fury "thing" with two big brown
eyes
and two small hands always open for a warm hug, can be so
understanding and a good listener, for some one who needs badly
a friendly ear and surely Alfie never laughs at me, for my stupid
some times, thoughts... Love ya, sweety!*hug*
