The box wood was a favorite bush for topiary work in Roman times, according to Walker. It is used in decorative gardens worldwide.
Box wood is native to the areas of Galilee and Lebanon and the general Mediterranean region. It will grow as high as twenty feet. The leaves are glossy, dark green.
