The Church Fathers

In our studies, it would do us well to peruse the ancient annals of our Christian heritage that are marked by the lives of those in the early church. After the passing of the apostles there was not left merely a few remnants of the faith, but masses of people who thronged to Christ as the Lord powerfully and effectively used his own to turn the world upside down. These are truly those of whom the world was not worthy. They suffered persecutions and martyrdom knowing that in Christ death had lost its sting. And through all the terrors this world had brought on, Christ's church had overcome. And may we too seek to bring glory to our Lord and hold fast to our hope in Him.

It will be very profitable to come to a greater knowledge of our Christian history and of the writings that were produced at that time.
