To Remember

As the weeks go by so slowly

and the memory of you flows

should I forget the love we shared

and let the sands of time erode?



Is it wrong to remember your kisses

your warm body by my side

the tingling of your fingers

tracing love words in my mind.



Your sparkling eyes that beamed so brightly

boring deep into my soul

an aching need you filled inside me

as we came together so.



For the love I felt so truly

but never really meant to be

should I push aside those memories

or may I hold them close to me?



While no other can feel my sorrow

I still rejoice in your new love

but understand come MY tomorrow

your heart still

lies

with me

in love.
