Pagans in the Pub

PAN Home

Pagans in the Pub is starting again in Sydney. On Tuesday the 18th January at 7.30pm in the Metropolis Hotel/Nightclub (1/99 Walker St, North Sydney). Pagans in the Pub should be a fortnightly gathering, but you can check by ringing Blayze or me on Tuesday the 1st February and checking for future dates.

The opening topic is the Sabbats. We will be looking at what the Sabbats mean to individuals and to groups. Do they mean anything to you at all? What about Southern Hemisphere vs Northern Hemisphere times and dates? Do you go by a calendar or by what is happening around you? Do you celebrate them and how? Tell us about how you see the journey of the wheel of the year...it’s not just Goddess based. Have fun with the topic, looking forward to some good discussions.

It’s been several years since we had a Pagans in the Pub in Sydney and it’s been sorely missed. A group of us comprising of representatives from the Pagan Awareness Network, Pagan Alliance NSW, Applegrove and Sydney Wiccans have got together to bring this important resource back to Sydney. Many of us first met years ago at the Carlisle Hotel in Newtown where the Pagan Appreciation Society was holding the original Sydney Pagans in the Pub.

We aim to have some serious discussions on a wide range of topics that cover many Pagan paths. Of course, being a licensed premises you will have to be over 18 to attend. Pagans in the Pub will be run entirely by volunteers, no-one is making any money out of this. Religious vilification will not be tolerated.

If you would like to suggest some topics, to help out, or just find out some more information, feel free to email Blayze blayze@excite.com with "Pagans in the Pub" as the subject line, or call Blayze on 0412 588 521, or Adrianne on 9818 2407. We will have flyers and information about what’s happening around Sydney with open circles, gatherings, picnics, events etc. If you have any events you want advertised, please let us know.
