She wandered down the lonely road
Remembering thoughts of days just past
The man she left had made his mark
Now there is just a void like the hollow in the tree
People stop and look inside
They give, they take, widening the wound
The road branches and she goes left
Touching feelings, remembering, dreaming
Love is there hugging her heart
Warmth flows through the body like waves in the ocean
The old and young play in the spray
They give, they take, sharing the joy
Twisting, following the winding road
Dreaming of months to come
The child inside kicks and stirs
Moving in the swollen belly like the surprise in the wrapped box
Everyone impatiently waits for it to be opened
They give, they take, enjoying the present
