"Don't cry for me" is what you say,
But it's hard not to
Knowing we can't see or hear you each day.

You say tus, "Don't shed a tear,"
But how can we not,
After we've had you for so many years.

We know that you will always be a sweet song in our hearts,
But on this day it's hard not to cry as we part.

The place that the Lord has prepared for you
is better than here,
But we are going to miss not having you near.

We thank the Lord for aloowing us to have you for a while,
You taught us things we needed to know in life,
And you gave each of us a shining smile.

Your life is a legacy and to some would be a dream come true,
Four generations of loved ones sorely missing you.

Our family is large and some live far apart,
The thing that is most common is the love
For you we have in our hearts.

A love that is great, strong and deep,
A love that ties us together
As you appear to be asleep.

Now it's time for you to have rest,
We wanted to keep you longer,
But God knows what's best.

The time has come, not for us to say good-bye,
But with a tear, let God take you
to your rightful place on high.

When you get to heaven there is one thing you can do,
Tell Grandma we miss her, and we love her too.

We love you Granddaddy,
See you on the other side.
