Hi I'm Murf. I do a pagan radio, music, interviews and fun, show on KZUM Community Radio Every Sunday morning from 9am to 11am. I have been doing the show since 1994, before that it was called the Spiral Dance. The Dance started in 1988 putting good pagan/Goddess music out on Lincoln's airwaves. I am also guilty of tossing filk and foolishness into the shows mix. We try to have fun. The WE, I speak of, is my co-host Diz. He has an off-beat sense of humor. Well, so do I for that matter;-)But his is off-er than mine.Now there are Lynn and Chelle in the Mess mix, (3 Virgoan Witches!!!boggles the mind)

• PAGAN: ****Got NEW music. SILVER BRANCH: Welsh/Celtic folk style. very good lyrics and their own original songs. Very good musically and Good to very good vocals. This is one to buy if you can. Ought to be in the collection of anyone that likes Celtic music and Welsh mythology. Not as bouncy as Emerald Rose but they have their own great flavor and are well worth a listen..of 3 or 4. ****
• THREE WEIRD SISTERS:, with their CD Rite The First Time another GREAT new pagan group with some very good instrumentation and lyrica and vocals. The cut 'Rite Of Passage' raised the hair on my arms..kewl, huh. They have some fun stuff also. 'Dumb, Dumb Dorothy..in which Dorothy laments leaving Oz for Kansas. *****

• *****Damh The Bard and his CD 'HERNES APPRENTICE'**** and his second CD THE HILLS THEY ARE HOLLOW****..good folk sound good musicianship and very good lyrics. more I listen the more I like.(pronounce it Darv or Dave the bard)(of course I pronounced it Dam;lol)
• *****WOODLAND: The Cd's are Heritage and Twilight. This is Great Music. Folk/Celtic flavored, fine instrumentation, original lyrics, professionally presented I can't tell you enough how pleased I was to find such a fine group & their Cd's. They are north west coast from what I can deduce. Oregon or Wash. State. If you get a chance to hear them... Lucky You. I'm Jelous. www:woodlandmusic.net check them out.
• ****Storyteller by Clarsa McElhaney; great folk style music. I've had a hard time getting it out of my CD player. 'The Hunt' is about a Unicorn hunt and dishonor, but my fav. is 'Queen of Air & Darkness,' from a story written by Poul Anderson, the ballad is from that story, of the same name..a long time favorite tale of mine.
• CELTIC/PAGAN:**** Coyote Run...NEW! yep they've a mostly Celtic sound. It's good stuff from a new band.These folks ROCK the Celtic **** give them a listen. Pagan to Pagan friendly. Good Stuff
• Emerald Rose..***** CD's Emerald Rose & Bending Tradition; I really, really like the Bending Tradition CD. This is excellent pagan/celtic folk rock music.
• CELTIC?SCOTS: Thegither An' A' by Marie Anthony & Megan Hurt..This has it all; not soft etheral harp.. but music with a melody line and beat and great vocals and instrumentation. Everything I like in a good Scots/Celtic CD.*****
• GODDESS:Laura Powers .. CD Legends Of the Goddess.(now out Legends Of The Goddess vol.2!!!!)(YEA)AND vol 3 is out now also. It just keeps getting better.
• CHILD:Circle Round & Sing: Anne Hill... A **** stars great CD for youngsters and their parents (a favorite of this DJ).
• CHANT:She Walks With Snakes***... Mari Summerwood .. makes you want to snake dance around a bonfire. This cut is also my favorite.
• ***Chants Of Balance by Shining Wheel Pagan Chorus
• CHANT2: most anything by Spiral Dance or Reclaiming Community or Spiral Rhythm... sooooo good: NOTE: Spiral Dance***** has a NEW CD release. 'Notes Of Being' 4****YES!!.
• CHANT3:Spiral Rhythm; has a new CD out.'ROLL OF THUNDER' more great music!!****Give them a listen!
• SPECIAL:The Calling ****... by Kutira & Raphael ... A beautiful CD. Hawaiian Chant/ Digerie Doo/ Whale song & instrumentation as lush as the Islands..Absolutly beautiful.
• MORE PAGAN ROCK: Incubus Sukkubus; The Waterboys(oh yes, find their Dream Harder CD in the 'used' section sometimes..if so get it.)& Either CD by T Thorne Coyle, her newest is 'Give Us A Kiss'. And don't forget 'Legend'.
• Pagan Rock:Faith & The Muse. Welsh Myth songs with a Goth/Rock flavor. Good stuff. heavy lyrics*****
• PAGAN POP: Zorah Staar's CD Pagan Pp. And Fritz Jung (of The Witches Voice)with The Celtic Feast Of the Dead
• there are more in all catagories, but these are my picks. I also like Annwyn in the Celtic catagory..but the Emerald Rose's Freya Shakti; Fire In The Head and Castle Of Arianrhod are simply inspired music.(I don't rate what I haven't heard)
