At the Daniel Boone Home you'll see flint lock "Long Rifles", a butter churn and sewing basket, along with a writing desk and the family heirloom are waiting for your inspection as you tour this fine museum. Here, where Daniel Boone lived and died you can find many items to please your entire family. A wide panorama of colonial early Americana is displayed in the Daniel Boone Home.

THE GREAT FIREPLACE - The huge stone fireplace in the dining room of the Daniel Boone Home where a long rifle and powder horn still hangs over it, just as it was in the days when Daniel and his family gathered here for happy hours.

DRAWING ROOM - In this room, Daniel sat for his famous portrait painted by artist Chester Harding in l8l9.

THE JUDGMENT TREE - As it stood in 1973... Daniel conducted his court to settle disputes between white men and Indians of the valley, using truth rather than man-made laws to arrive at just decisions.
Sadly, this great tree died of Dutch elm disease some years ago, but the remains are still preserved.

SEE WHERE DANIEL BOONE DIED - Visit the small bed chamber next to the north entrance to the house that is furnished as it may have been when the great scout died there after a short illness on September 26, 1820. Here is a historic spot you won't want to miss.

Special thanks to Lindenwood University as well as Mrs. Sumner's 4th Grade Class in Sullivan, Missouri, for some additional photos.
