ST. JOE TAKES A SHOT! |
Starting to feel like Rodney Dangerfield..."No Respect!"
The following ad appeared in the Cairo Citizen:
ATTENTION
There are openings in every grade at St. Joseph
School for the year of 2002-2003.
St. Joseph School has operated in Cairo, Illinois
since 1906. It is a school which combines full faith
in; and a committment to; the message of Our
Lord Jesus Christ.
Our graduates have gone on and excelled at schools
such as Cairo High and Notre Dame of Cape.
Alumni have attended such universities as SIU,
SEMO, Shawnee, Ole Miss and Steubenville, just
to name a few.
If you are concerned about your child's future,
then consider a school that is safe, capable, dedi-
cated and has never had a work stoppage. Call the
principal at 734-3525 or write to St. Joseph, 422
Cross Street, Cairo, IL 621914
No "work stoppage"...BUST!
Somehow, I don't think that an organization that has been the subject of such bad publicity as of late should be out "stoning" CATs...BUT...as a born and raised Catholic...I won't even go there!
Actually, I've heard worse...a LOT worse...
Overheard at a local ball field last week...
...A current Cairo school board member encouraging students to go to school elsewhere next fall...that Cairo Public Schools will not be opening until October or November!
If you know any of these Board members personally, you need to talk to them...they are out to hurt you!
