CAT Tracks for June 28, 2002 SCHOOL BOARD MEETING

Since I was unable to attend the June 28th Board meeting, Ace Reporter Ruth Bailey took over. Here is her report:

The public hearing on the amended budget was called to order at 5:05 p.m. with Joe Griggs, Brenda Gooden, Berlene Jones, and Marlene Schultz in attendance. Arnold Burris entered at 5:08 p.m.

Superintendent Isom presented a modification of certain budget items. The Board then adjourned to the special meeting, approved the amended budget, and went into closed session at 5:23 p.m. (Nobody spoke in the comments section.)

(After they were in closed session, Carlandus Mallory arrived.)

The Board exited closed session at 6:38 p.m. and took the following actions:

Recalled:

Henrietta Martin and Pam Carlton--Early childhood
Darryl Dexter--6th Grade Language Arts
Terri George and Tammy Bailey Smith--Kindergarten

Approved Transfers:

Lisa Childs to Bennett 5th Grade
