EXCESS FEDERAL WITHHOLDING

Any CAT whose check was "shorted" by having excess federal taxes withheld...

Your check should be ready "after lunch" on Tuesday. The checks were run Monday afternoon and the required signatures should be secured on Tuesday morning. (The "assumption" is that you will pick your check up at the central office. If that is not your desire, you should call them and ask them to mail it to you.)

DOCK DAY

If you were docked a day's pay due to the District taking away a sick day as punishment for the strike...

They are working on that. We should have an answer on Tuesday. (Initial indications from Monday's grievance hearing are encouraging, but the official ruling has not been rendered.)

On behalf of the Association, I sent a letter to Superintendent Isom on Monday officially protesting the abusive treatment received by bargaining unit members last Friday when they politely attempted to question the Director of Finance and Payroll about errors made on their paychecks.
