CAT Tracks for January 15, 2005 LET THE BARGAINING BEGIN...

No surprises...

In what might be termed a "no brainer", the membership of the Cairo Association of Teachers approved the removal of the "April 1st Restriction" on the commencement of negotiations. There was nothing to lose...and, hopefully, much to be gained by getting a "jump" on the process.

Let the bargaining begin...

A word of caution...don't expect "immediate" results. No negotiations sessions have actually been scheduled as yet. Our first related meeting will be on January 26th - to explore the financial status of the District and to discuss possible negotiations dates. So bargaining will most likely begin in February.
