CAT Tracks for May 13, 2005 TENTATIVE AGREEMENT

The bargaining teams for the CAT and the Cairo BOE have ironed out the final details of a proposed 3-year contract!

This tentative agreement will be distributed in all attendance centers on Monday, May 16th, so that you may have an opportunity to review its details, discuss it amongst yourselves, ask questions of the bargaining team members, and generally prepare yourselves for the ratification vote to be held on Wednesday, May 18th, at 3:30 p.m. in the Cairo Jr/Sr High School Cafeteria.

The CAT bargaining team WILL be recommending passage of this agreement.

BUT...It is VERY IMPORTANT that you ATTEND THIS MEETING! A MAJORITY of the membership MUST BE PRESENT in order to conduct a vote!

We are distributing the tentative agreement early, so that you can get most of your questions answered ahead of time. This should expedite matters and allow the ratification meeting to focus on a few remaining issues/concerns...and a vote to be taken promptly.

PLEASE...support your bargaining team and make whatever arrangements necessary to attend Wednesday's meeting. They have given up many hours of their time for you...plan on giving them a few minutes of your time next week.
