CAIRO BOE IN THE DARK... |
...but, then, so was the rest of Cairo for over two hours on a stormy and threatening night!
The Cairo Board of Education held a special meeting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2006. Below is an annotated copy of the agenda to serve as minutes...but...I can save you the trouble of looking!
With no one seeking "Recognition" and no "Open Session" items to discuss, the BOE voted to go into Closed Session at 6:02 p.m.
At approximately 6:50 p.m. the power went off. After making a brief check on the weather conditions, the BOE went on with their meeting. (The emergency lights in the hallways were working, but the BOE room was pitch black.)
The BOE exited Closed Session at 8:08 p.m. Superintendent Whitledge indicated that he had no recommendations to make and the BOE voted to adjourn at 8:09 p.m. So...we are STILL "in the dark" as to what transpired behind closed doors!
