Remember...our carrier changes on June 1st...from Principal to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois. Below is an e-mail from Kenny Johnson. He asked that I share it with all of you...ASAP.

Ron:
Could you send a note with your CAT TRACKS publication to the staff regarding the change in health insurance carriers.
EFFECTIVE JUNE 1, 2006 THE HEALTH INSURANCE CARRIER WILL BE BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD OF ILLINOIS.
Here are a few helpful notes:

The ID Cards will be mailed directly to the member’s home address. If any member has not received their ID Card by June 1st, please call me immediately.

It is important that all members let their providers, pharmacies etc. know that they have a new health insurance carrier effective June 1st. Failure to do this could very well result in unnecessary confusion with claims being filed with Principal by mistake. Here’s the point: All claims through May 31st at midnight should be filed with Principal. All claims from June 1st forward should be filed with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois.
We just received the final rates from BCBSIL yesterday so we want to be diligent in our communication with each other. I will be back in touch with you again early next week. Please distribute this communication at your earliest opportunity. I thank you in advance.
