CAT Tracks for January 29, 2009 FOUR IN THE MORNING...

...too excited to sleep!

Just keep looking at the lights...purdier than them thar Christmas lights...after a 24-hour absence. And about half of Cairo is still without power.

Just checked the school closings (per the KFVS Website at 3:45 a.m.) for tomorrow, uh, make that today...THURSDAY!

Century is closed...

Egyptian is closed...

Meridian is closed...

Cairo is...not listed!?

I did see on the WSIL Website that Bennett Elementary has been designated a shelter for Alexander County.

So...

Footnote: When I drove into a totally dark Cairo at approximately 8:45 p.m., there were no lights at CJSHS or the Superintendent's Mansion. The phones are out in Cairo...maybe the Superintendent's cell phone is without "power". Hard to believe, but...
