Hmmm...ex-school teachers can run for school board...can't they!

I mean, for a retired person trying to supplement their income, the smart money is on Cairo City Council. THEY get paid $600 a month, whether they attend the meeting or not! School Board is a "freebie", although there is the catered meal...

Of course, school teachers...they're that weird breed, folks that are eternally happy with low pay. School teachers are the kind of people who are just thankful for the smiles that the children so freely bestow upon them! (Should we really continue to allow such people around children???)

Ya know...if the BOE keeps finding ways NOT to negotiate...NOT to come to the bargaining table...getting elected to the school board would be an alternative method of getting a seat "at the table".

Do you know of any ex-teachers out there...any retired CATs...looking to "spice up" their night life once a month???
