VII. Approval of Treasurer's Report - Member Stubblefield asked once again that the totals be read aloud for the public, which they were. Motion made, seconded, and passed to approve the Treasurer's report.

VIII. Approval of Payment of Bills/Payroll - Motion made, seconded, and passed.

IX. Informational - Superintendent Swopes was not present for the meeting. This seemed to lead to some confusion on handling the informational items, normally done by the superintendent. In fact, the first item was skipped. Apparently there was a written report concerning the second item for BOE members to review and approve.

  1. Teacher Institute - August 13, 2008 - No comment.
  2. Title II Teacher Quality - Expenditure Report Adjustments - 2006-07 - A motion was made, seconded, and passed to approve reimbursement to ISBE of $1,985 that was received but not spent.

    a. Motion made, seconded, and passed to accept the resignation of Sara Kivett (Junior High School Math Teacher hired on June 19th.)
    b. Motion made, seconded, and passed to hire Robin Mouser. (6th Grade Teacher)
  2. Other - Motion made, seconded, and passed to authorize repayment of $13,188 to Municipal Retirement from the Working Cash Fund.
