My interest is: What God is doing in our lives.. yours and mine. Honto! Can U C it?
Life is a faith journey. I'm serious. We all live in our own little big version of flat world. Except, of course, we live 2 dimensions higher up. But, there is evidence of a real dimension beyond. The Bible is such an evidence. But, proof is important! How do you prove God is real? You step out into His knowledge. It's pretty freaky, but also strangely solid. In my life, I have survived some pretty significant "accidents". One of those caused me to get serious with finding this God, not Phil's version, but the real one. I found Him. But, the funny thing was that He was always very close to me. I just didn't realise it. Much later, I had what is called an industrial accident. I had foolishly gone alone to correct a blockage problem (needless to say, this was not a safety procedure), and I almost had my chest pushed through by a large sixteen foot block of peeled timber. My arms not being strong enough to push it away from my chest, I prayed "Oh God. Help me!" And, He did. The block came away easily from my chest, and I was able to collapse on the ground until I recovered. Yet, God isn't just my safety net, and security in times of trouble. I work with Him now, on a daily basis. Listening to the words He gives me in my heart. Today, I am a missionary in Japan.
In the past I have been pretty cryptic (IE see the mystical Now above)! No one has complained. But, then only one person has really sent me a completed survey, that I did not already know.. So maybe that's an indication that I've been too cryptic. A brother in Christ, States-side, offered this criticism: take Chapel Noah's Sermon references out of the Cool Links section of this page because it is misleading. True, it is part of this site, and not someone else's product. I really didn't intend to confuse anyone. So I've moved it, and some others, out and up. God bless you, Mike. Phil White challenged my belief in God and we have been having an interesting debate. If any out there would like to ask questions or add their own two bits, I'd love to hear from you. You can catch up on the controversy starting with CERisE?? And further to this, Good God! The Christian magazine, The Discipleship Journal, had some words to say as well concerning proofs, in its Mar /97 issue [#98]. are the highlights!
Have you (or your pastor or priest) made the mistake of running your church from the pulpit? The role of a worship service leader is only one role. The role of a preacher is only another. A church's leader needs to practise another kind of mentorship in order to gain true growth; the art of sharing responsibility. A Message to
the Church. And in Japanese Nihongo de Questions? Some have had trouble understanding the message I wrote some
three years before so I have written a new message. This one is for you if you hold that
Christ is Lord. A Second Message to the Church. Finally, after a long absence,
is a different perspective on
prophecy as it relates to both the above and you. Still questions? My email is
And after all of these messages, is a message from Saint John's (Shaughnessy), my Anglican church in Vancouver.
I have always had a burden for victims of suicide. There ARE alternatives. They ARE worthwhile. Take a lookey here! The future is in your hands.. There are answers.. if you're ready for them.
And, this is new! Friends and faces of the Oita, Japan, we will never forget..
For our friends there in Japan, here is Annyn in Canada with Kuro the cat.
Finally, Poet's Corner. I'm debating what to put here. I've been a Secret Song writer for Some time. I needed to offiSially copyright those firSt before I include them here. At first, I offered this modified sequence of Haiku.. A poem from 'Athens'. But, now I am happy to include these lyrics: Follow God.. and Believe. Stay tuned for more!
