The response is very specific to the task. Information is accurate and response shows penetrating insight. The task is referred to in the answer. Writing is fluent and lively. Answer is concise and to the point. Conclusions and/or opinions are logical. Overall impression: complete and satisfactory.

Good

The response refers to the task. Information is accurate. A logical conclusion or an opinion is offered. Writing is fluent but not interesting. The answer is lengthy rather than concise.

Fair

The response refers to an unspecified task. Information provided is generally accurate but no insight is offered. There may or may not be a conclusion or an opinion. If one or the other is offered, there may be problems with accuracy and logic.

Needs Improving

The response does not specify the task. Information may be missing or inaccurate. No insight is shared. Any conclusion or opinion offered may be judged to be off-task. There are problems with accuracy and logic. Overall impression: incomplete and unsatisfactory.
