Charles Hebrum DICKSON emigrated around the time gold was discovered in Ballarat Victoria in the 1850s. He was from Smeaton Scotland. He married Mary GRIFFITHS at Bullarook near Newstead in Victoria in 1863. One of their sons was George Cowan DICKSON who was born in 1873 at Newstead in Victoria.

Rachel WAY was a daughter of Charles WAY and she was from Somerset England. One of their children was William Fry WILKEY who was born in 1839 at Hindmarsh in South Australia. Charles Richard WILKEY and Rachel WAY finally married at St Paul's Church in Adelaide long after all their children were born. They had settled at Hope Valley in South Australia.

The couple settled at Robe first and then Hindmarsh and finally Porter Street Parkside South Australia.
Ellen GODDARD was born in Saxmundham Suffolk England in 1847. She was a daughter of Henry Moore GODDARD and Elizabeth (nee BRIGHT). She emigrated with her parents in 1850 and the family lived at Lake St Clair at Robe South Australia Elizabeth BRIGHT was a daughter of clockmaker Jerome Denny BRIGHT from Saxmundham Suffolk England.
Samuel MAIDEN emigrated on the ship the Royal Charlie in 1853 with his wife Elizabeth (nee LANGFORD). Samuel and Elizabeth has married in June 1840 at North Wingfield Derby England. The couple lived in South Australia for the first two years and then travelled via the river to Menindee in New South Wales where descendants still reside. One of their sons was William MAIDEN who was born in England in 1848.
