Lightwork: The Human Experience
At the time that we volunteered to come to Earth as Light Workers, most of us agreed to remain here until the completion of the current evolutionary cycle. As we measure time here on Earth, this cycle is scheduled to complete by approximately the year 2011. Thus, for many of us, this will be our final incarnation on Earth. For this reason, this could be considered to be a "completion" lifetime, during which we are completing, or balancing out many, many experiences that were begun in other lifetimes.
For example, we may have been involved with a particular individual in a previous lifetime in which the relationship left unbalanced emotions within our respective souls. Thus, in this lifetime we may have chosen to come into relationship with that person again in order to work out the issues that had been left unresolved in the earlier lifetime. After this resolution is completed, we may then find that there is no longer a need to remain in a relationship with that particular person. Thus, we move ahead in our life, and soon come into another relationship, or another situation, which also may have been left uncompleted in another lifetime. In this way we are able to rapidly complete many experiences that were left unfinished in previous lifetimes.
Spiritual Transcendence
However, there is another crucially important factor related to how we live our lives during this particular time period on Earth. Soul development normally takes place through the principle of "cause and effect", or "karma". This simply means that we learn by making choices in our lives, and then experiencing the effects, or repercussions, of those choices. If we make choices that create imbalances, or discordant energies, eventually these energies need to be brought back into balance. The traditional way of doing this is to place ourselves in a situation in which we may experience the opposite polarity of the imbalance which we created. For example, if one was a father in a particular lifetime who was abusive to his children, then in a future lifetime he might choose to incarnate into a life situation in he would be the child of an abusive father. In this way, by experiencing both sides of an imbalanced situation, he could eventually bring the experience back into balance within his beingness.
The problem with this approach is that imbalanced situations have been so pervasive on this planet that souls tend to get locked into virtually an endless series of lifetimes in which they come into a life experience to balance out a previous condition, but in the process, get caught up in circumstances that create new imbalances. Thus, many souls on this planet, including some of the Light Workers, have found themselves entrapped in an endless cycle of lifetime after lifetime, with little progress being achieved toward the completion of their evolutionary experiences here on Earth.
To compensate for this situation, a special dispensation has been made available at this time from within the councils of Light, to provide an accelerated process for completing the cycle of experience here on Earth. This special dispensation is the principle of " grace," or " spiritual transcendence." Each soul on Planet Earth at this time has the opportunity to choose the path of spiritual transcendence, rather than following the old path of cause and effect, in order to complete their learning experiences here on Earth during this final lifetime of this evolutionary cycle. This is a window of opportunity that is only open until the end of this cycle.
If a soul consciously and sincerely chooses the path of spiritual transcendence, or grace, then assistance will be provided in healing previously unbalanced energies directly, rather than having to resolve the situation experientially through cause and effect. By undergoing this accelerated healing process, we still most likely will experience a healing "crises" occasionally within our physical, emotional, and mental bodies, as the old unbalanced energies are released and brought back into balance. But it is much less painful, and much less time-consuming, than having to balance out the discordant energies experientially through cause and effect.
Healing Assistance
There are various ways in which this healing assistance is being provided to us. Beings of Light and Love from the higher dimensions often work on our energy bodies at night, during our sleep. Sometimes we are taken up into spaceships in our energy bodies, where various forms of advanced technologies are utilized to facilitate the purification and healing process. We also may consciously invoke healing energies to be directed through us, utilizing various forms of breathing and visualization techniques to assist in our own healing.
An important factor to remember, however, is that each soul must make its own choice. We may consciously choose the path of spiritual transcendence, and ask for assistance with our own healing, but we cannot make the choice for someone else. Thus, as we observe others, perhaps even our close friends or members of our family, choosing to continue on the old path of cause and effect, we must compassionately allow them their choice, knowing that ultimately they will learn through the experiences they have chosen.
In the section entitled, "Earth: A Historical Perspective", we mentioned the "support teams" who function aboard space ships within the environs of Earth. As indicated, these generally are kindred souls who have chosen to remain aboard space ships, rather than project into physical embodiment. Oftentimes at night, we, in our non-physical body, are brought aboard a ship and receive additional assistance with our healing. On rare occasion, it may be necessary for us to be brought aboard a ship in our physical body, so that direct assistance can be provided at the physical level. Normally these experiences are blocked from our conscious memory so that they will not be disruptive to our human experience.
Intergalactic Federation
A point of clarification may be appropriate at this point. In recent years, there has been increasing interest in so-called alien abductions. This involves humans presumably being forcibly taken aboard space ships, without permission having been granted, for observation and other purposes. The many such cases seem to involve genetic activities in which women may be impregnated, or in which sperm samples may be obtained from men, for the purpose of developing hybrid species. Also, much has been written regarding the so-called "greys", and other alien groups who allegedly are involved in activities that are not in alignment with our highest good.
On the galactic level, there is an association that is sometimes referred to as the "Intergalactic Federation", or "Association of Light Worlds." This is an association which functions within a strict spiritual ethic in service to the councils of Light. In our previous reference to support teams aboard space ships, we were referring to ships which are members of the Intergalactic Federation. Thus, when we are brought aboard such ships, we can be assured that the healing assistance which is provided is in accordance with the highest good in relation to the Divine Plan developed within the councils of Light.
There are, however, many spaceships which visit Earth, or which function within the environs of Earth, which are not associated with the Intergalactic Federation. Most are just here for observation purposes, but presumably it is a few of these non-member ships which are responsible for the abductions and other questionable activities. One of the functions of the Intergalactic Federation is to provide protection for Earth, and for the residents of Earth. Thus, we may request and receive protection from interference in our lives by "alien" beings who are not functioning in alignment with the highest good. In this sense, we might think of the Intergalactic Federation like a police force, keeping in mind that a police force will usually not interfere in a domestic dispute unless requested to do so. It is not the purpose of this book to delve into the activities of the non-Federation ships. Many such books have already been written, and much research in this area is continuing. Thus, when we make reference in this book to spaceships, we will be referring to ships which are part of the Federation, and which are functioning for our highest good.
Intention and Purpose
In the section entitled, "Intention and Purpose", we discuss the importance of clarifying our intentions. For it is our intentions that determine what will be attracted into our life experience. It is important to remember that this principle applies to interdimensional experiences, as well as experiences within the human realm. Thus, if it is our intention to be involved only with ships and beings of the Intergalactic Federation who are working for our highest good, and if we are clear in affirming this intention, then we need not be concerned about intrusion by the non-Federation ships.
Oversouls
There is yet another factor at work in the lives of many of the Light Workers at this time. This relates to the concept of "oversouls", which is discussed in the section entitled, "Soul and Oversoul Structures". As newly created units of consciousness evolve, they pass through various transmutations in which the soul structure becomes increasingly sophisticated. Such oversoul structures have the capacity to extend multiple soul units into embodiment simultaneously. Virtually all of the Light Workers who came to Earth prior to 1500 AD, and many of the ones who have come since then, are oversouls who have the capacity to support multiple simultaneous incarnations.
One of the common oversoul structures for most of the Light Workers who came to Earth with one of the earlier groups is a structure that includes 7 souls within an oversoul. Thus, we shall use this structure as an example. During earlier lifetimes, it was normal for each of the 7 soul units of such an oversoul to incarnate independently. This enabled an oversoul to expand the variety of its experiences, and thus accelerate its evolutionary progress.
However, in this, the final lifetime of the current evolutionary cycle, many of the Light Workers are undergoing a process in which their entire oversoul structure is being incorporated into a single embodiment. For many of the Light Workers, this merger process began within the past 5 years. As each soul unit of the oversoul structure is integrated into the embodiment, it is common for the Light Worker to experience confusion related to identity. In other words, they often feel like they have become a different person. In truth, they have become a different person -- the original person, plus more. In some cases, a person going through this experience may be inclined to change their name, taking on a new name that feels more in harmony with the new being that they have become. Many, many of the Light Workers are going through this soul integration process at this time.
Ascension
Finally, let's consider the concept of " ascension". Ascension tends to mean different things to different people. By our definition, ascension means translating the physical body from the physical dimension, to a higher dimension. Thus, through the ascension process, the physical body would simply disappear from the physical dimension.
In earlier times, a soul that completed its evolution journey on Earth would move through the ascension process, and disappear from the physical dimension. In some instances, such a being might later densify its body occasionally, and re-appear within the physical dimension. Such beings are usually referred to as "ascended masters". It is also possible for such an ascended being to re-enter incarnation in a different body, and live a "normal" human incarnation. In fact, there are a few dozen such ascended masters currently incarnated on Earth at this time.
During this final phase of the evolutionary cycle, however, the plan is that rather than souls going through the ascension process individually, ascension is to take place in groups.
This is a brief overview of some of the human experiences related to Light Work. These, and other aspects of Light Work, are discussed in considerably more detail in the specific sections on each subject.
