MAKING LIFE EASIER....

Here are tips that I've found useful in the everyday
life of keeping house and having children. Hope these suggestions
help. I'll try to update these as often as possible. Note: I can
not be held personally responsible for failed attempts. :)

HOUSECLEANING

1. And I've personal experience with this one....For
non-washable crayon marks on the wall and elseware
set hair dryer on highest setting, direct toward marks
and wipe with a damp cloth. WD40 also works.

2. To keep miniblinds a little less dusty? Wipe down with
damp dryer sheet. Also works well on ceiling fans and
computer and television screens.

3. Spaghetti stains on high chair tray? Soak in a solution
of bleach and water. Be sure to scrub down good with hot
soapy water then to remove traces of bleach.

4. Noisy hinges? Rub down with candle. The wax may quiet
the noise. Didn't work? Apply some vaseline or soap.

5. Fingerprints on wallpaper? Mix a paste of baking soda
and water and apply to wallpaper. Let it dry and brush
off the powder. Other smudges or stains on wallpaper?
Peel the crust off of bread, roll it into a ball and rub
the wallpaper. Works on all kinds of marks.

6. Out of toilet bowl cleaner? Steal some of your husband's
shaving cream and apply it to the nasty spots. Leave it
sit for a few minutes, scrub and voila! no spots!

7. In a hurry? Wipe down just about anything with baby
wipes including but not limited to: counters, faucets,
toilet seats and your kid's faces.

8. To make your garbage cans smell better, sprinkle some
carpet deodorizer in the bottom.

9. Get hairspray off your bathroom mirror with rubbing
alcohol.

10. Vinegar and water? An all natural cleaner for most
surfaces.

11. Pen leak on your clothes? Spray hair spray on the
mark and wash in the machine.

12. For ring around the collar, shampoo it with your
favorite shampoo.

13. For carpet stains mix vinegar with dish liquid.
Works wonders!

14. Carpet smelling musty? Sprinkle some baking soda
on and then vacuum.

15. For beautiful, shining windows, mix water and vinegar
in a spray bottle. Spray the windows, then wipe off
with newpaper. No kidding.....streak free windows!

16. Heat too many Spaghettios in the microwave? Are your
plastic containers stained? Set them out in the sunlight
. The sun will actually fade the stains, if not make them
disappear.
