| Career: Multimedia Tutor at Ohlone College. I help students learn applications such as Macromedia Director, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop as a first step in their career in web design or computer graphics. |

Education: Currently working toward my AA degree and Fast Track Certificates in Web Design and Multimedia, which will take about one and a half years to complete. I plan to pursue a higher education in Multimedia later on. |

Skills before taking the course: I had earned my AA degree in Art. However, I have a very little knowledge of any multimedia applications. |
| Skills after taking the course: I have learned to design a professional web site and utilize animation with the web site. I also gained experiences in tutoring and helping other students with the applications. |
| Benefits of Multimedia Courses: It has given me insight on Web Design and how computers are very important to today's job market. I built up more confidence now that I use the skills acquired through Ohlone College's Multimedia program in my job. |

| How I entered the field of Multimedia: I have no computers knowledge before I get into the Multimedia field. While I worked in the CD store, I did some data entries work and inventory sort. That was my first time to use the computer. Later, my friend, Paul Williams, asked me to help him to do some design work for his client. This got me start in using Adobe Photoshop. I really enjoyed that kind of work. Then, Paul suggested I learn more about computer graphics and web design. The more courses I took, the more interested I became. By the end of Fall '99, I receive Certificates in Web Design and Multimedia. Also, I will earn my AA degree in Multimedia in Spring 2000. I have set a long-term goal and am making great achievements along the way. I give credit to Paul Williams and Valerie Landau for giving me an chance and guiding me direction. |
