Here's a photo of my great-great-great grandfather, John Henry Budden. He went to India in about 1848 as a missionary of the London Missionary Society, and established a mission at Almora, UP, where he served until his death in 1890. Several of his children and his son-in-law also served as missionaries at Almora and Pithoragarh. The photo was taken at Lucknow. Tara van Brederode | Photos of Calcutta PoliceHilary | Ronnie, I have
a photograph of an "ancestor". I am quite happy to scan both sides
of the photograph for you to use, but wonder if you could possibly identify
the uniform and the time it would have been worn. I have so many really
old photographs that have come down through the family but unfortunately,
over time, the names have been forgotten. michele halsey |
