Definitive Issue –Phosphorescence Print Error

The printing of the Klussendorf labels paper role was conducted in two phases. At first, the basic design was printed. Then, the phosphorescence stripe was printed as a second layer.

This second stage was not without fault, and a few instances were observed in which the phosphorescence stripe was missing, or that the phosphorescence stripe was printed improperly.

Missing Phosphorescence Stripe

This error was observed on the following varieties:

MiNr 3.1 machine 010, 022
MiNr 3.2 machine 002, 003

Smeared Phosphorescence

This error was observed on the following varieties:

MiNr 3.2 002, 045
MiNr 3.5 machine 002, 014, 039

The following image is a simulation of this error. A yellow highlighter pen was used to color the phosphor spread over the stamp. It is important to mention that the thickness of the smeared areas is smaller than that of the "normal" phosphor stripe on the left
