This Temple has been in operation for quite a while now. But it is only now that it is time to open up to the world. Once the decision was made to open this Temple to the public, I began to wonder what role a modern Temple of Isis and Temple of Ra should play in the community. What do we have to offer?
In Ancient Egypt the Temples were more than a place of worship. People went to the Temples to gain knowledge. They were Universities, Hospitals, Observatories, Libraries, Courts of Law and many other things. Our society takes care of most of that, but in a non-spiritual way.
So we can offer Spiritual Healing, Divination, Spiritual Studies and Practices, and Exploration of various ways to bring the sacred into every aspect of life. A place to find guidance to find your spiritual path.
The purpose of this temple is to provide a safe and loving environment…
This is a Temple of the Divine
Male and Female. It is vital to strive to be on equally good terms
with both aspects of yourself. Each and every one of us has aspects
of both inside. Usually we are in better touch with one or the other.
In this modern era we are mostly led by males and taught to worship the Divine Male, with little to no acknowledgement of the Divine Female. When the Divine Female is acknowledged She is vilified and maligned. Consequently this Temple’s focus is a little feminine weighted. It’s difficult to find information and places to celebrate Her Glory. This is one of them. But don’t expect to ignore or defame the Masculine side of things. He is as important as She is.
My goal is to keep to the Ancient Egyptian ways, but in a modern context. Take the symbolism and purposes of the Ancient Rites and create meaningful rituals everyone can participate in. Ritual magick needs to be experienced and practiced. It’s also nice to have people to share spiritual ideas and experiences with.
The Virutal Temple on-line will continue to live and grow. I’d really love some input from you: Cool links, fun places to go, pagan events, or anything you’d like to see or add.
