Reducing Numbers

When reducing numbers to a single digit, it is recommended that you reduce the numbers of each part of the name or number before adding them together. For example, when adding a birth name you would reduce the first name, the middle, and the last name, and then add those three numbers together.

When adding date of birth numbers you would first reduce the month, then the day, and then the year. After you have reduced each part seperately, you would then add the three numbers together. This is helpful in a couple of ways, not only is this method fast, but it allows you to uncover master numbers that may appear within the name or the date.

If you have one of the three master numbers you would write the master number first and then the reduced number: 11/2, 22/4, or 33/6. In this case you would then be taking into account the significance of the master number, as well as the reduced number.
