Subject:
Dear Friends and Family,
Greetings to each of you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ who
gives us grace and peace.
This will be my last "Friends and Family" email this year. Bill and I
leave Maua on Thurs. 28 Sept. 2000 to begin our home assignment. We
will fly out of Nairobi on 29 Sept. and arrive in Atlanta on 30 Sept.
for one week at Emory Health Center and Hospital for our physical
exams. On 6 Oct. 2000 we will fly to Dallas, TX where we will be
until the end of October when we go to Houston. We will spend two
weeks in Houston and then travel to West Texas. In early Dec. we will
drive to New Mexico, where we will be until we return to Dallas after
Christmas.
We have 42 supporting churches in 5 conferences and have made
arrangements to speak in all those churches that have requested a
visit plus a few others. Thus our three months are filled with many
wonderful opportunities to see you and share about our work and the
people here.
Much of October we will be staying with our daughter and her husband.
If you needed to reach us, their address is:
Address omitted
Corrie and Brent will know where we are and how to reach us during
November, so they could contact us if they needed to. We will be with
Corrie and Brent for Thanksgiving.
After Dec. 5th we will be at my mother's home in New Mexico. Our
address there would be:
Address Omitted
Both Bill and I are extremely busy right now as we finish as much as
possible before leaving and packing our things that must go. I am
only taking one day off before we leave as things are very hectic at
the school of nursing. We had hired a new tutor but she never showed
up. Thus, I am trying to teach as many of the classes I normally teach
to this new class before we leave. All the tutors are busy doing
assessments, grading and writing exams, case studies, and papers.
Bill is designing an extension for one of the doctors houses (Dr.
Ziegler) and working with the accounts department to enter their
payroll on the computer. He is always fixing computers, printers, and
monitors that are having problems and helping the many departments
that have computers with software problems.
We will be disconnecting our email connection until we return in
January 2001. We will not check emails after Wednesday 27 September
2000. Due to our very busy schedule in the US we will not be writing
many emails.
We are looking forward to seeing many of you during our time in the
US. We are planning to return for another three years in Maua. We do
ask for your prayers as we pack and travel.
We are so grateful for the way you have supported us with your
prayers, love, care, and finances over the past three years. We
experience the power of your prayers everyday and we know we could not
be here if you were not there for us. Thank you. We can never fully
express our gratitude. So much has happened in the last three years
and you are a part of it all. Thank you.
Until we meet in the US or return next January,
In His grip,
Jerri and Bill
