Dearest Friends and Family,

I am sitting at the computer surrounded by my family. My family arrived at 5:30am on June 29th and we had 12 incredibly wonderful days together sharing and seeing the beauty of God's world. We made a million memories.

On Sun. July 11th we were planning to drive to Maua. At 7:00am my daddy died. He just stopped breathing. We decided to bring him to Maua. Tomorrow, Tuesday July 13th, we will have a funeral service and bury my daddy in the center of our front yard.

Our Maua community has literally enfolded us in their loving concern and care. Though nothing can ease the pain of the loss, our friends have shared in our grief and continually given us glimpses of God and His greatness and reminded us how good our God is even in the midst of our pain.

We need your prayers. Please pray especially for my mom, who has lost her husband and best friend of 58 years. Burying him 8000 miles away is difficult. Please pray for all of us here and family members in the US.

I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to share the last 12 days with my daddy. It is such a gift, such a blessing.

".......and you hold me by the hand. You guide me with your instruction and at the end you will receive me with honor. What else do I have in heaven but you? Since I have you, what else could I want on earth? My mind and my body may grow weak, but God is my strength: He is all I ever need." Psalms 73: 24 - 26

Enfolded in His love,

Jerri and Bill
