Princess
Night black hair and face so fair
A beauty few are blessed
Face draped curl, mid-eastern girl
But brought here from the west
Soft tanned skin and sultry grin
All woman it was clear
Wise old sage beyond her age
A third less mine in years
Cloudy night with soft pale light
Sand beneath our toes
Light blue sea, princess & me
Still dressed in formal clothes
Ruby lips & white light ships
Orange crescent moon
Cat blue eyes & soothing sighs
This beach our sitting room
The waves they rolled as I did hold
Her nestled in my arm
All troubles fade as there we stayed
We two so far from harm
Though we shared our comfort there
Both at the same did know
That if we could then stay we would
But time had come to go
On piggy-back I took her back
Warm smiles on our face
But all too soon we reached the rooms
Her royal resting place
Before the door a last detour
A high perch with a view
Spiral stairs, was someone there?
We left because who knew
Then in the pool, against the rules
We washed our sandy feet
And went outside to share goodbyes
Before she went to sleep
Our souls laid bare, a hug we shared
A kiss upon her hand
Our numbers read in pencil lead
She'd found in valet's stand
Then one last glance a peaceful trance
Then off to start my ride
She watched me go across the road
Before she went inside
From stairway land, she waves a hand
Then gently walks away
The tender care we knew we shared
Saved for another day
