To My Man
Of all the worlds and spheres,
spaces, planes, universes and multiverses,
of all the billions of civilizations
born in a billion gods' minds
I am happy to be here.
Of all the vast ages of man,
Ice to Bronze,
Dark to Aquarius,
of all the seconds that tick by and,
like Life's breath, gone
in the blink of an eye,
I am glad to be now.
Of all the creatures God's
thoughts brought forth,
to walk tall on the land,
to soar upon the wind,
to glide as one with the water,
to snuggle deep in warm earth,
I am grateful to be Woman.
Of all the emotions
which hold us tight in their fist,
of all the hates we harbour without cause,
of all the fears that cling to our hearts,
of all the jealousy, envy, pride
like a beast, consuming us
'til we are weak with frustration,
I am constantly amazed by
my capacity for love...
...and...
Of all the men in creation,
men of many years,
men of many experiences
of all races, beliefs, nations--
and much humanity,
I am most joyful to be with you, dearest one
because you are
here
now
my man, and
I love you...
