Maria Flashes Her Stuff

Me: former lead singer in a rock n roll band, semi-pro writer (published twice), wanna-be-better musician (guitar, keyboard), former cyber geek (mega RAID rocks, baby! or at least it used to), unrecovered but semi-retired Catholic (hey, I know intellectually that a piece of the holy wafer thrown in the toilet will not bleed, but I’m not about to try it, OK?) of Mex/German/Russian extraction via Miami, AZ (yes, there is such a place) and SF, I enjoy a daily grand celebration of all things Life. Fascinated by science (currently studying the quantum physics theories of string particles and multi-dimensional membrane-universes, such as p-branes and 0-branes, which is where I think 85% of the men I’ve had in my life came from), and world events; anything that a person is so enthralled with that their faces light up when they speak about it. I prefer wine to other spirits, and I enjoy any celebration of life, be it dancing, singing, laughing, eating or drinking (or any of a number of other pleasurable activities that come to mind), and doubly so with a good boson to my fermion along for the adventure.

I crave exchanges of ideas, thoughts, observations and such with someone who can ride the rapids of stream of consciousness with me and enjoy it. I have been referred to as a quirky broad, tempestuous at the right times, free thinking because I will not conform, and certainly independent since my ten years of “occupation” are over (Chapter 1, in which she refers subtly to her failed marriage). My motto is, “alis volat propriis”. If you are the right person, then there are no taboos, no sacred cows, and “if that chick don’t wanna know, forget her”. I may not completely know the difference between Monet and Cezanne, but I do know that I like Monet’s work much more and he had a way cooler beard. I believe the difference between Sri Lanka and Brunei may be as simple as the difference between curry and soy. Or maybe not…

I learned the art of rhetoric from my father; I learned the nuances of sophistry from my ex. I prefer art to nuance.

I thoroughly enjoy people who speak their minds and people who just have a ball every day because life is just so fucking cool.

There. I have just thrown the flaps of my existential raincoat open and bared myself to your scrutiny; you will either say, “Hell Yeah!” or you will dismiss me as just a tad ‘out there’. Well, let the molecules fall where they may. Pax Vobiscum, y’all.

Boson – Particle that transmits a force

Fermion – Particle that makes up matter

Pax Vobiscum – Peace be with you!
