At a conference for Indonesian Small Schools in Jakarta (12th and 13th  November 1999)  keynote speaker Sebastian Foti (associate professor of Instructional Technology, University of Florida ) said :

We don't know how to teach with computers.

What!!!???   

Computers are in schools. 

How should they be used?

• How do I teach with computers? My philosophy. 
• What  basic computer skills should middleschool students have? 
• What contexts could these basic skills be grounded in?
• What are other teachers doing with their classes?
