HINDRANCES YIELDING TO GOD

1.  Born Again:

a.  1 Pet 2:2; As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word that you may grow.

b.  1 Pet 1:23  Be born again not of corruptible seed but incorruptible by the word of God which lives and abides forever

c.  1 John 2:13  I write to you fathers - - because you have overcome the wicked one.

d.  John 3:16  God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son.

e.  John 3:3-7  Be Born again.

f.  1Pet 1:16  Because it is written, Be ye Holy for I AM HOLY.

2. Lack of fellowship with other Christians:

a.  1 Cor 6:14  Do not be unequally yoked...

b.  Eph 3:6  Be partakers together, share the promise together.

c.  Numbers 28:25   And on the seventh day you shall have a Holy convocation and do no servile work.

d.  Acts 4:21-24  Gain release from bondage through praise together.

e.  Heb 10:24-25:  Exhort one another,    Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together.

3.  Lack of communication with God:

a.  Eph 6:18-20  Praying always  -------- for which I am an Ambassador.

b.  1 Thes 5:17   Praying always.....

5.  Family problems and strife:

a.  Romans 13:13  Let us walk honestly as in the day, not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

b.  James 3:16-18  For where the is strife and envy, there is confusion and every evil work. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easily to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.  And the fruit of righteousness is show in them that make peace.

6.  Worldly care and interest:

a.  Mark 4:18-19 parable of the sower.

7.  Wrong companions and friends.

a.  II Cor 6:14-18  BE NOT UNEQUALLY YOKED BY UNBELIEVERS FOR WHAT FELLOWSHIP HAS RIGHTEOUSNESS WITH UNRIGHTEOUSNESS?  AND WHAT COMMUNION HAS LIGHT WITH DARKNESS? ----------

8.  Unforgiveness and resentments:

a.  Eph 4:31-32  Let all bitterness, wrath, and  anger and clamour and evil speaking be put away from you with all malice.  And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another even as God for Christ’s sake has forgiven you.

b.  Mat 6:14-15  For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly father will forgive you.  BUT if you do not forgive men their trespasses neither will the Father forgive your trespasses.

9.  Need for inner healing.

a.  Luke 4:18  The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to PREACH the Gospel to the poor, has sent me to heal the broken hearted, preach deliverance to the captives recovering of sight to the blind to set a liberty them that are bruised.  To Preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

10.  Need for cutting loose ancestral ties of bondage.

a.  Ex 20:5  Thou shalt not bow down to any idol nor serve them for I am a jealous God visiting iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generations.

Example:  Israel sins through the teaching of Balaam.  Twenty four thousand died in the plague  Numbers 25 and 26  Phenius stops the plague with a spear.

11.  Need deliverance from demonic oppression:

12.  Need to be cut loose from cult and occult involvement, including getting rid of those things connected with satan.

GOD desires a fellowship with HIS creation.  HE desires to see your prayers answered.
WHY NOT GIVE HIM A CHANCE.
