COMING HOME 2000

The Annual Alumnae Homecoming of SPCM was a whole day affair hosted by the Jubilarians of the Year 2000 held Sunday, January 30, 2000.

Registration started at 8:30AM followed by a Holy Mass at the SPCM Chapel with Fr. Carl Abesamis, SJ, officiating.

Pictures were taken at the Chapel steps. Lunch was served with a raffle of prizes to everyone's delight.

At noon, a general membership meeting and election of the PAAM Board Members was held at the SPCM Quadrangle.

At 2:30 PM, Coming Home 2000 was held at the Fleur-de-lis Auditorium. After the National Anthem and the Invocation, different song & dance numbers were presented by the Jubilarians.

Capping the affair was the Multi-Media Presentation, "Coming Home 2000" by SPCM Batch 1975. Lastly, the Turn-over of the Homecoming Cup was done with Sunny Escareal-Velasco (75) and Tavi Villapando-Limos (76).

Major characters in the Multi-media presentation were Sunny Escareal, Mae Cendaņa and Pinky Marquez.

The SPCM-Ateneo Glee Club of the 70's performed a Motown Medley.

The Paulinians were Pinky Marquez, Cris Alvina & Mae Cendaņa (75), Lui Galvez & Carina Carpio (76), Katrina Ponce-Enrile, Donna Grande & Ayie Cruz (77).

From Ateneo were Raffy Kaluag, Blitz Padua, Mari Maravillas, Toby Abaya, Jess Lantin & Popot Lorenzana.

Ms. Emilie Simon, our music teacher and HS Batch 70 played the Marimba.

A very touching rendition of the song, Sometimes, was done, accompanied by Ms. Simon on the marimba and Yeyette Hernandez-Joseon (HS 75) on the piano.

Beth Reyes-Lugtu was our own Doņa Buding.

Pinky Marquez was such a delight.

Ms. Loreto Romualdez-Ramos (HS 30), was the fossil jubilarian. She wore her original uniform and played the violin, accompanied on the piano by Ms. Carmencita Castro-Bautista (HS 63).

The SPCM Dance Troup and the Children of Class 1975 did the Intrams/Cheering Competition.
The Citizens Army Training (C.A.T.) was performed by the SPCM Dance Troupe.

Sixty seven jubilarians from Batch 1975 did a Donna Summer Medley.

Performing "I'm Coming Home" by Johnny Mathis, their winning entry in the high school songfest of the Seventies.
