Always Running

Always Running is a semi-autobiographical novel by Luis Rodriguez. I don't have much to say about the book because I haven't read that much of it as yet. So far, the book is good though. I can't get too much into it because it is way too sad for me. I feel bad for Luis and his family because they are made fun of and separated from everyone because they are Mexican.

I am reading the part right after his friend was shot in a drive-by. Luis and his friends were in their "clubhouse" for the gang, The Animal Tribe, when they saw a car going by. Wilo (the boy who was shot) screamed out that where they were standing was the Animal Tribe territory and they shot him. He lost one of his eyes.
