Karina's Definition of "I Love You"
A couple, going out for 3 weeks, have just finished watching a very romantic movie. The boy leans over and whispers in his girl's ear, "I love you." Of course, he doesn't mean what he just said but his girlfriend just 'eats it up'. She leans in and gently kisses him on the lips and repeats the words he just told her. She means the words genuinely, they came straight from her heart.
This doesn't have to be just a boy-fooling-girl situation. I can be the other wsy around. Girls are also notorious for their devious nature and underhanded behavior. So, don't be so quick to say that I am bias.
Well, as you probably already figured, they engage in sexual intercourse that very same night. Actually, in the guy's eyes, they were simply 'bonin'. In the girl's eyes, it was more; they were making love. Either way you look at it, they are both wrong.
Many people say "I love you" to their girlfriend or boyfriend without actually understanding the seriousness of these three words. That phrase is not something that should be taken for granted; it's something to be cherished.
Let me explain what this phrase means. Well, at least what it means to me. To me, "I love you" means I will stand by you always. It means I could never let you go. It means I would never hurt you. It means I will always defend you to anyone and everyone. Most importantly, it means I will always treat you with the utmost respect.
"I love you" should never be taken lightly. If you say these three words, make sure you take the other person's feelings into consideration. Also, make sure that you understand the true meaning of this phrase. And remember, never underestimate the power of "I Love You".
