~~~ TOOLS ~~~
~~~ What Tools does an Astrologer use? ~~~
If you want to learn Astrology
you'll need a few tools / supplies.
These are my suggestions.......
~~~ EPHEMERIS ~~~
The only Book you really need is an Ephemeris.
What is an Ephemeris?
It is one Book containing the day by day
movement of the Planets and Luminaries.
I recommend Neil F. Michelsen's......
American Ephemeris for the 20th Century:
1900 to 2000 at Midnight / 5th Revised
The American Ephemeris for the 21st
Century : 2000 to 2050 at Noon
Buying an Ephemeris is one of the few costs in this site.
Please
use this link to a reasonably priced book store if you intend to purchase any astrology books. It helps keep my site Free.
I've shown a link to get a noon &/or a midnight Ephemeris.
All Data is for Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
Use this Book in a general way (as an average).
Unless you intend to learn to compute your own charts.
I will not cover computing your own charts.
Max Heindel's Book (in my Links) covers that.
I recommend using both until you decide which
you prefer.......Noon or Midnight.
I learned on Midnight but prefer Noon.
I use the middle of the day since I live in Pacific Time.
I use this Book ALL the time......
(It now comes highlighting Retrogrades),
I highlight Retrogrades and conjunctions,
I use different colors for different meanings.
I only have to flip pages to watch changes.
I highlight family members Birthdays.
I count days after Birthdays to
quickly figure Progressions.
Or you can Download Ephemerides from
Zodical Zepher
http://www.zodical.com/ephemerides/
or try this one at Matrix
~~~ SOFTWARE ~~~
When I want to get specific,
then I use computerized sotware.
I used to waste alot of time
doing all the math to plot a chart.
Now I use my time analyzing and observing.
I prefer the graphics of my Matrix BlueStar,
but it's costly (well worth it)
and I want SolarFire 4 (can't afford it yet).
Here's some dependable Downloadable
