Arana- name means Water Sister- home
to humans and another people, the Royalists, "human" but creating their own destiny
genetically...
Canda-
name is Earth Sister- a dry planet, little water, close to Arana, and capable of sustaining life. The
Dianter tablets tell of Canda hanging large in the Aranian sky, larger than the Night Sun.
Chicago Base-
stretching out onto Lake Erie, the base is to become the fief of
Admiral James McCreedy.
Dianter- historical
centre of the Royalist nation...Dianter's tablets feature a unique record of the history of the
nation, but it is
principally a beautiful scenic meeting place... social meeting place of the Royalist nation..
Diakyon System- a two
star system, a Central Sun and a further away, but strongly attractive Night Sun
Gereny- the 3rd power,
"isolationist", at first aloof from others, it's true power is not tested yet.
Lokin- a minor power,
that is an eternal rival of Gereny, and at this time on a violent border war.
Otrandoe- prison camp
built on captured Base Sixus by the Uelsons, a masterplace of torture.
Sixus- old colony of
the Earth, captured, the colonists massacred and turned into Uelson Castor base/ Otrandoe.
Skye- island of the
Stewerts, where Teal's father rules as the Royalist king.
Uelson- the enemy of
Earth, they always launch ridiculous peace negotiations as a prelude to war...
Uelson Castor Base-
Largely autonomous base, on the site of captured Uelson Castor Base.
Zhangra- a space-
faring, trading nation/ without superlight.
Caucan: Northern
country, combined into 1 nation and then led to war by Gordon
Tras.
Vakellan: Northern
country, continuously copying Earth in many ways-style etc. Most advanced nation on Arana,
host of their space-fleet.
Royalists: Nation
consisting of Bays, Lowlanders, and Nomads, plus the Mountain People
Bays - participants in
the breeding program a Bay is the descendent of a long line of, leaders of the nation.
Highlanders- basically
the Bays and those who stay around them.
Lowlanders- live in
towns no larger than 30 dwellings in size, tough to find and destroy..
Mountain People- a
reclusive people, whose main known talent is for healing the sick and stimulating recuperation.
Nomads- just as the
name says, they live in mobile camps, and are most renowned for maintaining
the tales the and dancing the history of the Dianter tablets.
Witches of Caldon: a
group of old women on the planet Caldon who have powers over light
and thus of the appearance of objects..
c) Starships:
Gemini and Pollux- double
ship- splits in two- to be captained by Orestes Peralta
Hamilton- ship
captained at one point by James McCreedy.
NGC (Galaxy)- the
key ship, Kury's ship, on which Johnny Fox serves, and which serves to connect
broken connections after Armageddon I.. not bad for a ship with pretzels in the torpedo tubes,
ants and a pet aardvark
pity the ship's crew should anyone else take over this mess..
Rita- Jaephah
Merek's ship- for more details, see Falco
Sovereign - the big
one, a supership, titan that splits into 4 Nora and Terrel are among those who serve on her.
Tesah - the key ship in
Armageddon I, it must buy time for Earth to survive and fight off the Uelson threat..and
at the same time remain a secret..
Voyager - small light
ship, powerful enough, not a main attack craft, but capable of long distance travel too( cf April 2
2183 chapter)..
D) Concepts/ difficult ideas
Beth-enea - slightly longer than an Earth Year- time it takes for the night sun
Crisis Generation -33rd Generation Bay, i.e. 66th in a line of only sons among the Royalists.

Hot Season/ Cold Season: Arana has 8 seasons, depending on the positions of the suns..
The extremes of temperature and climate are far worse in the north than in the south, where the
most extreme
seasons do not coincide eg.Hot season +summer..
Line Skip Link- the daughter of an advanced Bay- she can start a new line.

Reill- an unwanted side-effect of selective breeding, a rejected Bay is destroyed by his own

no real technical explanation of this is given.
Trieath - the first of the new race, bringer of the new age, the result of years of royalist breeding.
