Munich
Many people consider that Munich is an
ancient city but it is not. During WW II
it was completely destroyed (80%). Many
buildings in the central part were rebuilt
others were built and styled as ancient ones.
We walked about 4 hours around Munich.
We visited several cathedrals (kircher) and
ate some ice - cream in a cafe on Marien
Platz (a central square). Near the main
railway station there were some buses which
could take you to the sightseeing tour around
the city. I didn’t have a strong feeling of a
stranger. Germans, who live in that region say
that Munich is a real capital of the country,
not Berlin. |

Konstanz
Konstanz is situated on the border
with Switzerland. We went to that
cozy town by train. Railway is
highly developed in Germany. You
can get everywhere by train.
There are various kinds of train
here. They are usually fast and
come in time. |

Lindau
We took a ship to go
to Lindau, a
famous German resort. During the
voyage our ship came to all towns across the bank. I wore a dress
with a bikini top and got awfully
sunburned. The hotel was very
comfortable and prices were not
fancy. It was like a little
honeymoon. |

Frankfurt
Frankfurt is different from other
German
cities: so many sky - scrapers and no room
for bikes. In other cities there were even
special roads, places in the street and
transport to put your bike. It was the last
city I visited. I flew by Ilyushin (Il) - 86,
the plane, which I highly recommend.
Tchuess (bye), Germany! |
